As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol units, entrances, and common areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.

Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and support orderly operations.

Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, including observing for unauthorized access, securing doors and restricted areas, and reporting maintenance and/or access control issues.

Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift communications, and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

Vaccines are required for this hospital site.

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
