This position supports a major data center construction program and requires regular onsite presence in Rayville, Louisiana (Monday-Friday). Local candidates or those open to relocation are preferred; a per diem may be available for non-local candidates. Occasional regional travel may also be required.
The Director will oversee project-level and program-level scheduling, including Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, while mentoring a team of schedulers and serving as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. This role requires someone who can step in quickly, operate in a fast-paced environment, and provide leadership with minimal ramp-up.
Responsibilities:
Lead the creation, management, and oversight of detailed, resource-loaded schedules for multiple large-scale data center construction projects.
Establish and implement standardized scheduling best practices, processes, and tools across the program.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project planning and scheduling methodologies.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all scheduling-related matters with internal leadership, client partners, and general contractors.
Support business development efforts and contribute to growth of scheduling/project controls services within new and existing client accounts.
Oversee development and maintenance of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and ensure alignment across design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
Establish baseline schedules, evaluate schedule performance, and develop KPIs for multi-project data center programs.
Conduct high-level schedule reviews, scenario modeling, and trend analysis to support program-level decision-making.
Ensure schedule data is accurately integrated with cost, risk, and reporting systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, client dashboards).
Collaborate with Project Controls, Finance, and Project Management teams to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment with budgets and resource plans.
Monitor schedule risks and opportunities and support mitigation planning with senior stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of schedulers across multiple project sites.
Provide performance feedback, support professional growth, and ensure high levels of technical competency within the scheduling function.
Foster a collaborative, proactive, and results-driven team culture.
Facilitate regular schedule coordination meetings with project managers, design teams, GCs, subcontractors, and client leadership.
Communicate schedule updates, risks, and recommendations clearly through dashboards, executive-level presentations, and written reports.
Support conflict resolution, decision-making, and negotiation related to schedule impacts.
Oversee preparation of monthly program reporting, including 1-, 3-, and 6-month lookahead schedules.
Coordinate and manage multiple schedule inputs into a cohesive program-level master schedule.
