Team Overview
This role is part of the US Power Distribution team and reports to the North America Overhead and High Voltage Sales Senior Director. Overhead Transmission (OHT) products are a critical part of the electrical grid. The Overhead Transmission Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key utility and EPC accounts, and expanding market share for the company's overhead transmission cable products. This role blends technical expertise with strategic relationship-building, ensuring customers receive high-value solutions that meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. The manager serves as the primary commercial liaison between the customer and internal teams. You will have sales responsibilities for select customers including EPCs and transmission developers to pursue and close megaprojects. This role has a travel requirement of 25% to 50%.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining a deep understanding of the technologies used in overhead transmission applications including advanced technologies such as E3X.
Collaborate with sales team and sales channels to convert customers and the market from more commoditized products to the advanced products and solutions offered by Prysmian
Partner R&D to develop the next generation of products and services for overhead transmission customers.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow overhead transmission cable sales across assigned territories and customer segments.
Identify new business opportunities with existing and potential customers.
Manage the full sales cycle-from lead generation and technical discussions to proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions to understand project needs and specifications.
Provide customers with technical guidance on overhead transmission cable products
Ability to present to executive leadership regarding sales, forecasts, and business opportunity
Who are we looking for?
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to problem solve complex problems independently.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of sales experience in the utility, transmission, or electrical products industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
