About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Warehouse Operations Manager to lead a high-volume distribution center. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, managing 3PL performance, and delivering key metrics across Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, and Morale. The successful candidate will begin with an immersive onboarding period with travel to gain deep operational knowledge before transitioning to lead our Indianapolis facility. This leader will be instrumental in leveraging data analytics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Service and Planning to optimize service levels and cost efficiency.
The facility location is still being finalized, with heavy potential to be located in Greenfield, IN. Regardless, it will be located in the Greater Indianapolis area.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.
Your responsibilities
Full accountability for warehouse operations, including Safety, Quality, Service, Cost/Productivity, and Morale.
Govern and manage the on-site 3PL relationship, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and daily execution.
Lead data-driven decision-making through analysis of operational KPIs, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, and service metrics.
Partner with Planning and Customer Service teams to align distribution capabilities with demand forecasts and service expectations.
Co-own site budgeting and forecasting processes with the Regional Distribution Center Manager, including cost control and financial planning.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive year-over-year cost savings and service enhancements.
Ensure compliance with FDA, Regulatory, Environmental, and Safety standards.
Develop and implement efficient facility processes, policies, and procedures to support scalability and performance.
Foster a positive work environment focused on team engagement and strong 3PL collaboration.
The experience we're looking for
7-10 years of experience managing logistics or warehouse operations in a high-volume, regulated environment.
Proven track record in data analysis and performance management using tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Experience with GMP facilities and regulatory compliance (FDA, DEA, etc.).
Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and cost ownership.
Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
Experience managing 3PL relationships and driving accountability.
Advanced proficiency in WMS systems (JDA Blue Yonder preferred), SAP ERP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
Willingness to travel as needed during the initial onboarding phase (6-12 months).
Travel
Extensive travel to other distribution centers in the US during first 6-12 months of employment (50-75%) .

US salary ranges
USD $90,000.00 - $134,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
