Internship (Construction Materials Testing) Job Locations US-MN-St. Paul ID 2026-18203 Overview Element has an opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing Intern. In this role, you will work with engineers and technicians to perform daily tasks related to soil and concrete testing. This opportunity will give you invaluable on the job experience and exposure to construction engineering. Salary: $21- 23$/hr DOE Responsibilities Setup, conduct and analyze standard field and laboratory tests following prescribed procedures. Performing testing and inspection of soil/aggregates, concrete, masonry, rebar, and bituminous pavement in the field and laboratory Ensure that all testing equipment, work vehicles, and tools are properly calibrated and maintained. Communicate with Clients, Technicians, and Project Managers on a professional level to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills / Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis MNDOT certifications in soil preferred; examples include Aggregate Production and Grading and Base, Bituminous Street and Bituminous Plant, Concrete Field, ACI Related work experience in materials testing or construction preferred Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
