The Insights team is part of Corporate Communications' broader Strategy & Insights (S&I) group - a global function responsible for developing a unified, data-driven earned media strategy aligned to Accenture's business priorities.
S&I partners closely with Media Relations, Marketing, and Communications colleagues across all markets to ensure that programs are strategically planned, thoughtfully measured, and continuously optimized. The team includes Insights, Media Strategy & Planning, Investor Relations, Issues Management and CEO Positioning.
YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Manager (CL6) based in the U.S., you will serve as the strategic right hand to the Associate Director & Global Insights Lead, and play a critical role in shaping how Corporate Communications uses data and insights to guide decision making across the global organization.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, can translate loosely defined needs into clear analytical approaches, and can provide strong guidance to colleagues across a complex, matrixed environment. You will help triage reporting and insight requests from across Corporate Communications and the broader Marketing + Communications organization - ensuring the team focuses on the most valuable work and applies the right methodologies.
You will also coach and guide colleagues on the Insights team, helping elevate the overall quality, consistency, and strategic impact of our insights products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Insight Leadership
Serve as the primary escalation and strategic partner for complex or ambiguous insights requests across Corporate Communications.
Work closely with the Global Insights Lead to define priorities, set reporting standards, and shape long-term insights strategies.
Triage incoming requests, helping determine scope, timelines, methodologies, and which team members should execute.
Lead development of new narratives, frameworks, and measurement approaches that improve how we track and communicate earned media impact.
Advanced Reporting & Analysis
Translate ill-defined or exploratory business questions into structured analytical plans.
Build or oversee creation of high-value, complex reports using media and social listening tools, ensuring strong Boolean logic, taxonomy structuring, and metadata consistency.
Interpret qualitative and quantitative data to surface trends, insights, risks, and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Ensure all insights outputs reflect a senior level understanding of communications strategy and business @context.
Team Guidance & Capability Building
Provide coaching and day-to-day guidance to Insights team members globally, helping build their analytical, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.
Establish best practices, templates, reporting standards, and quality controls.
Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development for new team members.
Stakeholder Partnership & Influence
Act as a trusted advisor to senior Media Relations, Marketing, and Communications leaders across global markets.
Provide strategic counsel on measurement design, evaluation frameworks, and the role of insights in shaping storytelling and campaigns.
Influence stakeholders to adopt data-driven ways of working and champion the value of insights.
Tools, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Partner with the team to assess and optimize the usage of listening, analytics, and reporting platforms.
Drive innovation by leveraging emerging technologies - including LLMs and AI-powered analysis tools - to improve efficiency and insight quality.
Identify gaps, pain points, or opportunities to enhance measurement rigor, efficiency, or storytelling approaches.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 8 years of experience in communications, media analysis, insights, research, or a related field.
PREFERRED Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
Demonstrated ability to lead complex reporting or analytical initiatives with minimal oversight.
Experience translating unstructured or ambiguous requests into clear analytical frameworks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into senior ready insights.
Ability to collaborate across global time zones and navigate a highly matrixed environment.
Proven experience building strong, trusted relationships with senior leaders.
Deep understanding of the U.S. and global news landscape.
Advanced proficiency with media monitoring and social listening tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision, Factiva, Brandwatch, Sprinklr) and Boolean logic.
Experience integrating insights across multiple data sources (media, social, digital, business data).
Exceptional critical thinking and business judgment.
Experience designing bespoke evaluations, measurement frameworks, or insight models for senior executives.
Strong data visualization skills and ability to craft polished, executive-level insights products
Comfortable leading, mentoring, and guiding junior and mid-level team members.
Ability to manage stakeholder expectations, push back thoughtfully, and prioritize competing demands.
Executive presence and the ability to influence without authority.
A proactive, self-directed leader who thrives in ambiguity and can turn unclear ideas into structured plans.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with LLMs/AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Perplexity) and ability to use them to enhance workflows, generate insights, or accelerate analysis.
