System Administrator-Linux

CTG is seeking to fill a System Administrator-Linux position for our client.

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

Install, configure, and maintain UNIX/Linux servers and systems.

Manage system performance, reliability, and security.

Apply patches, upgrades, and software updates.

Ensure proper system backups and recovery processes.

Implement and maintain automation and monitoring solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; provide technical support.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.

Experience with system configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.

Familiarity with backup solutions, security policies, and patch management.

Scripting and automation experience (e.g., Bash, Python).

Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Experience:

Proven experience as a UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator or similar role.

Hands-on experience managing Linux servers in enterprise environments.

Knowledge of system security, performance tuning, and backups.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
