What would you do as a Warehouse Material Handler/forklift

As a Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift operator at Barrett Petfood, you'll immerse yourself in a pivotal role that combines driving expertise and operational efficiency. Your day will involve utilizing a forklift to navigate through picking lanes, ensuring that orders are accurately picked and built on pallets for timely delivery. You'll also engage in the essential task of loading and unloading trucks, making sure that materials are handled safely and efficiently. To excel as a Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift operator at Barrett Petfood, certain skills and qualifications are essential. Candidates must possess at least six months of forklift experience, ensuring you are proficient in safely maneuvering equipment through our picking lanes. Strong computer knowledge is necessary for tracking inventory and completing order documentation efficiently. An intermediate level of mathematical skill will be valuable for accurately picking and building orders on pallets, as well as for managing quantities effectively.

Additionally, the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs is crucial, enabling you to handle materials with ease while maintaining a focus on safety and integrity. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

6 months or more of forklift experience

Computer knowledge

Intermediate math level

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
