Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Meridian, Idaho, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing essential accounting functions, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting operational processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial reporting and compliance during a critical period.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

Reconcile accounts and ensure the general ledger reflects accurate and up-to-date information.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice coding, tracking, and payment disbursement.

Support month-end closing activities by compiling necessary data and documentation.

Monitor invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Assist with payroll processing and perform related reconciliations as needed.

Generate financial reports and schedules to support internal and external requirements.

Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and enhance accounting workflows.

Contribute to tax-related processes, including corporate tax returns and sales tax management. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax, including preparation of corporate tax returns.

Knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.

Proficiency in creating and posting journal entries.

Strong understanding of general ledger functions and account reconciliations.

Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with payroll processing and related reconciliations.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
