Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant in the Middlesex County, NJ area. In this role you will be responsible for AP and AR functions, journal entries, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and more. Responsibilities:

Prepare reconciliations and analyses for balance sheets and profit and loss accounts to ensure accuracy.

Handle accruals related to rebates and contract pricing, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Manage intercompany transactions, including processing and reconciliation, to maintain consistency across accounts.

Maintain accurate financial records by preparing and processing journal entries.

Monitor daily cash activities, reconcile transactions with source records, and adjust entries as needed to align with month-end balances.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivables.

Scan and organize financial documents from storage for easy accessibility and compliance.

Support various accounting tasks and responsibilities as assigned to meet organizational goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience of at least three years in an accounting role.

Proficiency in business software tools, with advanced knowledge of Excel.

Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation processes.

Experience with general ledger management and journal entry preparation.

Familiarity with accounting systems.

Ability to manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate reconciliations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for handling financial documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
