Mechanical Engineering Internship opportunity near the Bay City area.

Flexible schedule

Must be pursuing Mechanical Engineering degree

US Citizen

Job Purpose:

To develop engineering and/or technician skills by supporting the Proto@type Lab's daily operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform various tasks as requested by Proto@type Lab personnel

Learn all processes and procedures required for the Proto@type Lab

Provide support to the Proto@type Lab Mechanical Engineer

Provide technician support for the assembling and testing of components and assemblies

Provide computer and instrument generated information to Engineering

Assist in the assembly of the build kits and build package documentation

Assist with developing documents (e.g. flow charts, standard work instructions, build sheets, procedures and forms) for the Proto@type Lab

Assist in the assembly of the Proto@type builds

Understand safety and ergonomic requirements

Understand 5S requirements

Assist Validation Engineer to coordinate pre/post Validation processes

Assist Shipping/Receiving Expeditor on Pickup/Delivery of Customer/Supplier Products

Assist Quality in updating procedures, calibrations, and quality studies as necessary
