Description

We are looking for an experienced VP/Director of Finance to join our client in Worcester, Massachusetts on a contract basis. This role is vital for ensuring financial stability and operational continuity during a transitional period. As a key leader in the finance department, you will oversee critical processes, provide accurate financial insights, and collaborate with stakeholders to support organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the month-end close process for multiple entities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Prepare comprehensive and precise monthly financial statements for review and distribution.

Develop and refine financial reports, schedules, and management reporting packages to support decision-making.

Lead and coordinate all activities related to the annual audit, ensuring readiness and compliance.

Compile and organize schedules, documentation, and supporting materials required for audit processes.

Create and deliver financial presentations for Board meetings and committee sessions, addressing inquiries with confidence.

Provide support and expertise during monthly committee meetings, ensuring smooth operations and accurate reporting.

Monitor and forecast cash flow to maintain financial health and alignment with budget goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to refine budget processes and ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Requirements - Proven experience in managing annual budgets and financial planning.

Expertise in month-end close procedures and best practices.

Strong knowledge of budget processes and the ability to optimize financial strategies.

Proficiency in developing and presenting financial reports tailored to different audiences.

Demonstrated skill in forecasting cash flow and ensuring financial stability.

Hands-on experience leading audit preparations and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to Board members and stakeholders.

Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
