JOB SUMMARY
The Indirect Procurement Buyer role will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, supplies and services related to indirect spending for DSD. This role involves adhering to company policies, contract requirements, and federal acquisition regulations to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes. The role will also manage the Approved Supplier List (ASL) as about 30% of the job function. Ensuring all suppliers have been adequately vetted and remain active. This role will be positioned within the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate and source indirect products and services to identify the best fit for the company's needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, requirements, and policies.
Execute the indirect procurement process from requisition, purchase, order delivery and execution as required.
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all indirect purchase orders while retaining necessary documentation per the company policies.
Assign PO and perform PO updates in line with contract amendments or other needed revisions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners both internal and external to the organization to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Oversee the Indirect Procurement P-Card administration and reconciliation as required.
Keep invoice discrepancies at a minimum and partner with the business, vendors & Accounts Payable to quickly resolve any that occur.
Negotiate pricing and quotes with suppliers, recommending the most qualified source to meet budget, scheduling, and quality objectives.
Serve as the liaison between suppliers and internal teams on the Indirect Procurement process.
Provide detailed analysis of indirect cost and spend data for files/projects as needed.
Conduct research on materials, components, supplies and services related to indirect spending to enhance procurement strategies in meeting the organization's objectives.
Demonstrates strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Excels at resolving complex challenges with a strategic and thoughtful approach.
Ensures high quality and precision in task execution while working independently.
Clear understanding of the procurement processes and methodology related to indirect spend.
Also responsible for maintaining to the highest level the accuracy and completeness of the Approved Supplier List.
Will create a database and tracking system for all ASL forms.
Coordinates with Quality to ensure all Quality forms are updated and filed.
Reviews all forms for accuracy and completeness.
Ensures forms are sent out so they may be received back before suppliers can become inactive.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S./BSc) from four-year College or university or equivalent; and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training.
Competitive Compensation
Pay Range: $83250 to $138550 annually
