Medical Secretary - Baltimore, MD

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Location: Baltimore, MD

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-service-focused Medical Secretary to join a busy and fast-paced medical practice. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth patient experience and efficient front-office operations.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes.

Complete patient registration, including confirming demographic and insurance information.

Obtain, verify, and scan all required documents into the EMR system.

Officially check in patients using the practice's electronic medical records platform.

Coordinate appointments and scheduling needs with internal departments.

Support front-office workflow and maintain accuracy in patient records.

Eventually assist with answering and triaging incoming phone calls once fully trained.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a medical office or customer service setting preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with EMR systems is a plus.

Reliable, professional, and patient-focused.

Epic is strongly preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
