Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for efficiently, accurately, and safely manufacturing products on time. The role involves operating manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to produce regulated products according to QSRs, company policy, regulatory requirements, and safety regulations. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to instructions and pre-established guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform all work in compliance with company policy and regulatory guidelines.

Manufacture, assemble, and ship regulated products and sub-assemblies, including medical devices that may be radioactive.

Operate production equipment within a clean room environment.

Maintain records in compliance with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.

Rely on instructions and pre-established written guidelines to perform job functions.

Maintain organization and cleanliness in all designated manufacturing areas.

Assist with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and production equipment.

Assist with maintenance activities.

Provide mentorship and coaching to junior Manufacturing Technicians.

Adhere to the company's operating principles, fostering a positive and productive team culture.

Comply with company policies and procedures, and follow all safety rules and precautions.

Handle employee and/or patient PHI and ePHI as needed for job-related functions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in medical device manufacturing and tooling.

Experience with quality inspection, SOPs, and production assembly.

Competence in using calipers and micrometers.

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing/operations experience, with at least 1 year in medical device manufacturing preferred.

Ability to read and interpret Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.

Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute averages, rates, and percentages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.

Experience in handling radioactive materials in a radiation-controlled environment preferred.

Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel for work as needed.

Must satisfactorily pass a comprehensive screening.

Work Environment

The role requires working in office spaces, supply rooms, laboratories, and clean room environments. There is frequent exposure to hazardous materials, necessitating the use of appropriate PPE and precautions. The position is largely stationary, with some movement required. Frequent use of computers and laboratory/manufacturing equipment is expected. The role may involve lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs and may require some evening and weekend work as well as occasional overnight travel.

This is a Contract position based out of Richland, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
