Job Title: Sr Accountant

Job Description

As a Sr Accountant, you will independently manage and oversee all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. You will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting the finance team with various tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

Administer and oversee all Accounts Payable functions with precision and ownership.

Analyze, validate, and process vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with receiving documents and purchase records.

Research invoice discrepancies and collaborate with Inventory Control and Purchasing to resolve issues efficiently.

Reconcile employee expense reports and verify compliance with company policies.

Review and confirm commission structures for outside sales personnel.

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within Accounts Payable workflows.

Prepare, issue, and review customer invoices, ensuring adherence to contractual terms.

Resolve cost discrepancies and maintain financial accuracy.

Maintain accurate customer profiles and contact records.

Process credit card payments and reconcile receipts and deposits daily.

Conduct collection outreach to manage and reduce past-due accounts.

Monitor Accounts Receivable aging and assist with credit evaluations.

Maintain well-organized and audit-ready financial records.

Champion improvements in documentation processes and digital archiving.

Prepare and deliver operational and financial reports to support decision-making.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure reporting accuracy.

Execute month-end reporting and assist with journal entries.

Provide administrative support to the finance team and serve as backup for the main phone line.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience in general ledger reconciliations.

Proficiency in pivots and VLOOKUPs.

Experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable oversight.

Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.

Ability to handle complex account reconciliations independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

3-5 years of experience in accounting, general ledger support, A/P, A/R, or bookkeeping roles.

Experience with integrated business systems and ERP platforms.

Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite environment where you will collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and contribute to company goals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Burlington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.

Company benefits include full health, dental, medical, vision 401k and PTO Employee would be eligible for benefits immediately upon commencing employment

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Burlington,WI.
