Overhead Crane Operator Trainee

Starting rate of $26.96/hour, Full time

Summary Job entails working in a fast paced production environment operating various powered lifting equipment such as: overhead cranes, mobile crane and forklift. Position is part of a trainee program designed prepare the employee for a Material Handler position.

Responsibilities Employee is responsible for general movement, turning or other lifting activities as directed by Supervision utilizing overhead cranes and forklift.

Overhead Crane Operator Duties and Responsibilities Operate a remote overhead crane Observe all workplace safety rules and regulations Move various parts or components to the appropriate areas. Work and communicate with supervisors to ensure smooth operations Inspect equipment and fill out service requests as necessary Overhead Crane Operator Requirements and Qualifications Prior experience with overhead crane equipment (preferred) Physical ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout your shift Strong communication skills Forklift experience or a forklift operator license (preferred) Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Basic discipline aptitude/attitude
