This position is for a Co-op position in the Composites team of Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering (ASE) organization. ASE develops innovative repair solutions to observed & predicted distress on components for all P&W jet engines in order to economically return the engine to service.
What You Will Do
Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run April through June (including the Spring semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Part of a multi-discipline Integrated Product Team [IPT] to establish repair design requirements and ensure repairs are safe, durable, and meet the quality requirements of the Original Engineering Manufactured [OEM] parts.
Assist in researching operating environments, functionality of components, their interactions with mating parts, and develop repair strategies which will return damaged parts back to service.
Assist in creating technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for repairs, including a high level sequence of operations forming the basis for manufacturing operation sheets.
Participate in the prototyping of new repairs as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have
Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in Siemens NX or equivalent 3D modeling software
Available for multiple terms including April - June and October- December

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
