As the Director, Finance Opex Controller at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a key role in partnering with the Global Operations organization, including Global Procurement, IT, Smart Manufacturing and AI, Global Quality, and Government Affairs. You will support strategic decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and drive operational efficiency across the organization. Reporting to Micron's Vice President, Global Operations Controller, you will collaborate closely with global Finance teams including Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, and Treasury, and partner with leaders at all levels of the organization, including the C suite, to help optimize Micron's financial performance.
With a 40,000 member Global Operations team, this role suits an experienced finance leader used to fast-paced multinational settings. Strategic influencing and strong business insight are essential skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide decision support to global operation leadership team through data driven analysis, insight and recommendations
Partner with global operation leadership team to develop resource and spend plan to support Micron's strategic goals
Drive to best-in-class operations cost by understanding competitive benchmarks, establishing internal objectives, and driving accountability
In collaboration with Global Procurement, identify areas to optimize spending through industry analysis and should-cost modeling
Develop a high-performing team and resilient organization, including resource planning, training, mentoring, rewarding, and developing succession plans
Ensure compliance with GAAP, Micron accounting policies and practices, and other relevant rules and regulations
Partner with finance and operations collaborators to develop and implement new systems and processes to improve efficiency and meet changing business needs
Collaborate with other leaders and teams inside and outside the global Finance organization to develop highly effective working relationships
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or related field. MBA preferred
Additional professional qualifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred
15 plus years of work experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Controlling or related fields in the manufacturing industry (electronics manufacturing, semiconductors or other high-tech industries preferred)
10 plus years of leadership experience, ideally in globally dispersed teams

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$151,000.00 - $313,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
