Senior Director of Finance

Overview

We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Senior Director of Finance to lead our financial planning and analysis function and shape the financial direction of the organization. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving the full planning cycle-strategy, forecasting, budgeting-and delivering meaningful insights that influence decisions at both the corporate and operational levels.

This position offers the opportunity to build and enhance FP&A capabilities, lead high-performing teams, and partner closely with Senior leadership to support growth, operational excellence, and long-term financial success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

Lead the development of annual and long-range financial plans.

Deliver accurate, insight-driven financial forecasts to guide business decisions.

Provide strategic financial leadership to corporate and operational stakeholders.

Financial Tools & Frameworks

Oversee the creation and enhancement of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling tools.

Establish and continuously improve FP&A processes, standards, and frameworks.

Business Support & Analysis

Produce high-quality, timely financial reports and analysis for Senior leadership.

Develop and track performance metrics and KPIs that drive operational and financial excellence.

Assess financial risks and opportunities to support business strategy.

Support business development and go-to-market initiatives through financial insights and modeling.

Provide finance partnership to business units, offering data-driven analysis and recommendations.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop a 6-person US accounting team and a 4-person North America finance team.

Foster a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain leadership on cross-functional initiatives.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of progressive FP&A and financial leadership experience.

Background in manufacturing or CPG industries.

Experience leading teams of 5+ in a complex environment.

Advanced Excel skills and strong command of accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.

Expertise in financial modeling and working knowledge of Hyperion.

Experience with project management and variance analysis.

Additional Qualifications

10+ years of general finance experience within multi-entity, multi-currency environments.

Proven ability to hire, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.

Experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Work Environment

This hybrid role requires three days onsite per week and provides significant exposure across the organization. You will lead a diverse US accounting team (staff accounting, AP, AR, cost accounting) as well as a North American finance team. This position offers strong leadership opportunities, high visibility, and the ability to influence key financial and operational decisions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Danbury, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $180000.00 - $210000.00/yr.
