Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Redwood City, California. This role involves a combination of accounting and administrative responsibilities, supporting a small finance team with critical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This project is 2-3 weeks in duration and requires onsite work.

Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable transactions, including posting invoices and managing receipts.

Handle accounts receivable functions, such as updating payments and posting cash.

Scan and organize financial documents into the system for accurate record-keeping.

Collect and verify receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.

Perform data entry tasks with precision to maintain accurate financial records.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the finance department.

Assist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices or payments.

Support HR-related administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.

Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Knowledge of Oracle or similar accounting systems is preferred.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.
