Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. In this role, you will handle invoice processing, payment coordination, and ensure accuracy in record-keeping for financial transactions. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Process high volumes of invoices, including purchase order (PO) and non-purchase order (Non-PO) transactions.

Perform accurate coding of invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

Coordinate and execute weekly check runs to ensure timely payment to vendors.

Monitor and reconcile accounts payable records to maintain accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Maintain organized documentation of invoices and payments for audit purposes.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to create reports and track payment data.

Assist in streamlining accounts payable procedures to improve efficiency.

Support additional accounting tasks as required by management. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in processing invoices, including both PO and Non-PO transactions.

Familiarity with coding invoices and reconciling accounts.

Experience with weekly check runs and payment coordination.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and team members.

Knowledge of accounting software, such as Navision, is a plus.
