The Administrative Associate V works under general supervision and provides highly advanced administrative support. This position is responsible for coordinating daily office activities and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication. The role also involves managing and resolving complex, sensitive, and confidential issues while offering expertise in organizational planning and problem-solving.
This is a full-time, in-person position located on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Some evenings and weekends may be required pending scheduled activities. Serves as a Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Responsibilities:
Coordinates daily office support activities and administrative interactions. Assists in the coordination of daily work flow and the resolution of complex, highly sensitive and confidential matters. Provide organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
Researches and analyzes administrative requirements for specific programs or projects. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
Develops procedures for complex or specialized functions. Responds to inquiries and interprets rules, regulations, policies and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, tables, and other documents. Performs special analyses and project summaries.
Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events.
Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
May hire, train and supervise student workers and support staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related experience. A Bachelor's degree can be substituted for four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently once given a project.
Ability to work in a high stress environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base hourly pay range is $19.23 up to $22.10 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
