Description:
Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team! This person will support project management initiatives for Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, PA and Saint Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Schedule: Full-time Days (Hybrid Schedule)
**This person may be required to travel between Mercy Fitzgerald and Saint Francis as needed. The ideal candidate should live within a reasonable distance between both locations.

Position Purpose
The Project Manager supports acute care clinical operations through planning, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives and projects as assigned by THMA South President and senior leadership team; Focuses on projects, programs, service delivery outcomes and new opportunities that support the strategic priorities and service line growth of the organization. Work activities are performed with direction and oversight from the THMA South President in collaboration with various organizational levels. Requires critical thinking, exchanging & disseminating information, problem solving, & independently completing actions requiring planning, implementation, coordination & evaluation activities.
What you will do:
Responsible for the overall planning, coordination, implementation, execution, and completion of medium and large projects and tasks, ensuring consistency with organization strategy, commitment to goals, and enhancing the functions of the team.
Serves as project manager to ensure on-time completion of initiatives, aids with communication, tracks measures of success and creates new methods to improve processes; Maintains records of meeting notes and action items during committee meetings and follows up with outstanding items to bring to completion.
Works closely with the senior team and other members of leadership and frontline colleagues to meet project timelines. Prioritizing work to ensure the delivery of high-quality service to our patients, colleagues, providers, and communities.
Utilizes project management tools, documentation and reporting applications and tracking systems to maintain current project plans, actions, due dates, dependencies, workflow, notifications and data.
Utilize Lean/Six Sigma principles, methods, and tools to identify areas for time and cost savings; participates and leads improvement projects; and implements solutions.
Accountable for successfully managing project outcomes, anticipating needs and deadlines, and providing practical solutions for execution.
Responsible for obtaining and analyzing data to prepare reports and to communicate and identify solutions in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
Provides just in time project management training for established project management teams in order to facilitate team knowledge and capability to perform the required work and achieve the required objectives necessary for project completion.
Prepares and conducts education in project management and lean principles for senior leaders, managers and colleagues to elevate overall organizational performance in the recognition of potential projects, use of project management concepts, development of project management skills, and capability for defining potential projects for development within individual departments and among interdepartmental/ interdisciplinary teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required
PMP certification preferred
Demonstrated working knowledge of Lean/Sigma principles, techniques and outcomes
At least 3-5 years' experience in a project management related role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to discuss technical or sensitive information with internal and external customers.
Detail oriented with a high level of organizational skills and ability to manage and complete work in an efficient and thorough manner.
Ability to exercise good judgment, exercise initiative., and lead project work through collaboration and influence
Ability to manage details, handle simultaneous projects and meet multiple deadlines.
Strong execution skills with considerable experience in planning, formulating, and executing work plans for highly visible work with multiple contributors and executive stakeholders.
Ability to build strong, solid relationships with all key stakeholders. Consults with leadership to proactively anticipate customer needs and is creative and flexible in developing options.
