Pediatric Medical Assistant

Location: Palo Alto

Schedule: Day, 5 x 8 - 8:30-5pm

Type: Full-Time, Contract

Pay Range for this opportunity $28.00 - $34.00 per hour DOE

Position Overview

We're looking for a skilled, patient-focused Medical Assistant to be a vital part of our care team. In this role, you'll support both clinical and administrative functions to keep patient visits running smoothly and physicians working efficiently. You'll be on the front lines of patient care-helping coordinate services, delivering hands-on clinical support, and creating a positive, seamless experience for every patient.

This role blends clinical duties like taking vital signs, administering medications, collecting specimens, and assisting with procedures, along with front-office responsibilities such as scheduling, check-in/check-out, and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities

Room patients, collect vitals, and document medical histories

Assist providers with exams, procedures, and preventive care

Administer medications, vaccines, and injections per protocol

Perform point-of-care testing, collect specimens, and manage labs

Schedule appointments, referrals, and follow-ups to keep care on track

Support patient communication through EHR/CRM systems

Handle check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and documentation

Maintain organized exam rooms, supplies, and clinic workflows

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience

BLS certification required; CMA/RMA preferred

Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills

Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment

Dedicated to patient-centered, high-quality care

Pay Details: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour
