Job Summary and Qualifications
As a Linen Technician you will have the opportunity to make a difference in many lives with a kind word and friendly smile as you serve our patients and team members. You will be a member of a unified, caring team where everyone makes a difference. Join us in our efforts to better our community!
In this role:
You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing clean, processed linen to ensure a safe environment.
You will weigh and record the weight of all clean linen the facility receives from commercial laundry.
You will complete the necessary data entry for proper documentation of linen processed/received.
You will set up all linen exchange or replenishment of carts as needed or scheduled.
You will assist with calls for emergencies pertaining to linen problems.
You will examine laundered items to ensure cleanliness and send torn linen to the seamstress to repair.
You will make recommendations to the Director of Housekeeping for changes in linen or procedures to improve safety and patient care or to reduce cost
What qualifications you will need:
Environmental Service experience preferred.
Previous Linen experience preferred, but not required.
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
