Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
The Staff Engineer will be working on our core web services development teams in our Denver office to support our DBS Sales team. They will be working in an extremely collaborative and fast-paced environment helping to develop applications for our call centers and customers across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in a fast-paced agile driven extreme programming environment with focus on test driven development and CI/CD
Provide technical/architectural solutions to the team for solving complex business problems
Translate features/stories into web services and independent components supporting various applications
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Guide and mentor junior developers on various tasks
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor of Science preferred with 7+ years of professional Development experience. Master's degree is a plus
Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot is required. Other languages /frameworks for developing web services is a plus
Experience with React, Redux, JavaScript, Jenkins, IntelliJ, Gitlab, Gitlab CI
Experience working in a Docker Rancher environment is a plus
Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM/XP methodologies
Prior web services development experience with SOAP or REST
Experience with PL SQL Developer, Oracle / SQL Server, NoSQL databases is a plus
Skills and Qualifications:
A passion for innovation and solving complex technical problems
Good understanding of micro services and API gateway patterns
Strong desire to learn with a "can do" attitude"

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $110,100.00/Year - $157,300.00/Year
