Robert Half is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our Full-Time Engagement Professional team, supporting organizations during critical accounting and finance initiatives.

This is a full-time employment opportunity with Robert Half, offering consistent pay, full benefits, overtime eligibility, and bonuses - even between client assignments.

You'll step into organizations when they need experienced accounting leadership most: during transitions, audits, system changes, or high-volume periods. Each engagement is designed to challenge your skills while expanding your experience across industries and accounting systems.

Project Examples

Month-end close remediation

Financial statement preparation during audits

ERP implementation and system conversions

M& A integrations

Coverage for leaves of absence

Short-staffed accounting departments

Peak close or reporting cycles

What You'll Be Doing

Perform full-cycle month-end close with minimal supervision

Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts

Draft and post recurring and complex journal entries

Produce financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts

Maintain fixed asset schedules and capital leases

Support SOX compliance and GAAP reporting standards

Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliations

Analyze financial data and present findings clearly

Assist with department-wide initiatives and special projects

What We're Looking For

5+ years of accounting experience

Strong general ledger and reconciliation background

Advanced Excel skills

Experience working in large accounting/ERP systems

Flexible, solution-oriented professional who adapts quickly

Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on attention to detail.

Strong expertise in general ledger management and account reconciliation.

Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and tools.

Experience working with large-scale accounting systems.

Ability to adapt quickly and deliver solutions in high-pressure environments.

Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Knowledge of month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.

Effective communication skills for presenting financial analyses and findings.
