Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide. Job Summary: Assembles and fills boxes by performing the following duties: Essential Functions: Folds boxes per specifications. Attaches identification labels to boxes. Places specified number of products in container. Counts items packed to ensure compliance with company standards. Passes filled boxes through tape machine. Checks boxes for correct labeling and damage Loads pallets with filled boxes. Monitors and records temperatures of product. Draws random samples according to quality assurance specifications. Disassembles and reassembles the production line and equipment as necessary for cleaning. Cleans and Sanitizes production equipment, tools and work area per Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) Cleans equipment according to company standards Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $20.96-$24.87 per hour. Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package. Minimum Requirements Preferred Education and Experience: Three-to-six-month food manufacturing experience Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee is regularly required to stoop; kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. The employee moves objects regularly up to 5 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
