The WTC Health Program is a limited federal health program administered by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, part of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Program provides no-cost medical monitoring and treatment for certified WTC-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
How you will make an impact:

Develop and help distribute timely internal and external communications, including newsletters, alerts, memos, emails, scripts, training materials, and other written communication products.
Gather and organize feedback from WTCHP staff, members, providers, partners, and other stakeholders to improve communication products, processes, and tools.
Support the review of communication products and ensure all communication complies with federal health privacy and security standards, including HIPAA, CDC, plain language, and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act guidelines.
Provide training and support to WTCHP staff on the use and management of communication systems and tools.

2+ years of experience supporting communication efforts for health programs, preferably within federally funded health initiatives or CDC-supported programs.
Experience with communication tools, content management systems (CMS), and portal configuration.
Familiarity with federal health communication standards, privacy requirements, and CDC guidelines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, including enrollees, healthcare providers, and federal partners.
Experience developing and implementing communication plans, outreach campaigns, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues in communication platforms.
Project management skills to coordinate multiple communication initiatives and system updates simultaneously.
Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all communication materials.
