Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH is looking for an accomplished and adaptable Product Owner to join our AI Office team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving the development of data-driven AI products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs. Your expertise in data science will be instrumental in facilitating effective communication between technical teams and stakeholders, ultimately enabling the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into clear AI solution requirements and product outcomes
Own and prioritize the AI product backlog based on value, strategic goals, capacity, and ROI, with emphasis on paired data scientist-engineer delivery
Manage the AI initiative pipeline, balancing near-term wins with long-term roadmap objectives and promoting early, continuous production integration
Author and accept Epics as the primary unit of value, collaborating with teams on effective User Story decomposition and acceptance criteria
Communicate and maintain the product vision and roadmap, highlighting how paired programming accelerates deployment, quality, and maintainability
Track product performance and ROI using data-driven insights, manage stakeholder expectations, and continuously optimize delivery speed, feasibility, and value realization
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Certification in agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
6+ years in product management, focusing on data-driven/AI/ML solutions, ideally in agile
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong understanding of agile/scrum, including paired programming principles
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively with technical and business teams
Experience managing product backlogs and delivering value via prioritized, paired development
Ability to make data-driven decisions and analyze performance metrics, including code quality/deployment efficiency
Experience with cloud stack (AWS, GCP or Azure) preferred

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $96,250.00/Year - $137,500.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
