Description

We are looking for an organized and personable Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. This position is based in Woodbury, Minnesota, and offers an opportunity to support patients in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will excel in patient reception, scheduling, and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors with a warm and attentive demeanor, ensuring they feel supported during their visit.

Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while adhering to established protocols.

Assist patients in completing necessary forms and updating demographic information as needed.

Provide clear and accurate information about appointments, services, and clinic policies.

Schedule new and follow-up appointments to optimize provider availability and clinic workflow.

Confirm appointments, send reminders, and handle cancellations or no-shows efficiently.

Verify insurance details and collect payments, including co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.

Maintain detailed financial records, process payments, and issue receipts to patients.

Organize and update electronic health records by scanning and uploading documents.

Ensure the front desk and waiting area are clean, organized, and welcoming for all visitors.

Requirements - Proven experience in patient scheduling and medical front office operations.

Strong receptionist skills, including greeting visitors and managing inquiries.

Ability to efficiently handle patient check-in and check-out procedures.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology and insurance protocols.

Proficiency in managing electronic health records and maintaining accurate documentation.

Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate appointments and reduce wait times.

Detail-oriented with the ability to process payments and maintain financial accuracy.
