Job Description:
Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) is geared to drive enhancements and maintenance of its data domain and enhancing ownership framework. The role will play a pivotal part in driving these enhancements and their ongoing sustainment. The role requires a strategic approach to managing the data domain - direct and shared domains - balancing risk and business enablement priorities from data perspective. It also requires partnering with stakeholders in GCIB and the rest of the Enterprise to drive regulatory adherence, strengthen frameworks for data architecture, enhance operational excellence and meet GCIB's goal to be the best-in-class. The role covers key data domain management accountabilities and responsibilities, including strategic establishment and enhancements from a business perspective and guiding technology teams to deliver to solutions that meet the objectives. The execution design should also keep GCIB compliant on required policies like Material Non-Public Information requirements. The program team intends to add new talent that can operate in a high intensity and complex business environment to drive success by executing with detail and embracing a culture of "Plan-Do-Check-Act" as a permanent team ritual.
Key responsibilities include but are not limitedto:
Partner with the Data Strategy & Management Executive (DSME) team and Data Quality & Controls Executive (DQCE) team, in the design of GCIB data domain management framework as well as day-to-day domain management. Execute programs for successful implementation andsustainability
Adhering to accountabilities and responsibilities required of a data domain manager as perapplicable Enterprise policies and standards
Contribute to GCIB's data strategy execution to ensure successful completion. Provide inputs intostrategy according to on-the-ground learnings
Partner with the GCIB Data Steward to keep data domain needs assessment up-to-date and raisethe need for new data domain accordingly
Identify, prioritise and execute data issues/incidents in adherence with data incident managementstandards and MNPI procedures
Support DSE in data strategy and initiatives roadmapmaintenance
Engage in audits, regulatory exams and target assessment, asrequired
Ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards along with evidence ofcompliance
Escalate risks to programs. Partner with key stakeholders and develop solutions and deliver mitigating actions in support of successful completion of the program
Develop strong relationships to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts in a large, distributed organization
KeyRequirements:
12-15 years of experience in data architecture and/or regulatory adherenceroles
Experience with dealing with complexity of Global data issues andregulations
Understands GCIB business and products and can take ownership ofdelivery
Strong leadership qualities and result drivenapproach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to simplify and summarize complex data priorities/ technical concepts to executive stakeholders
Ability to work in fast-paced, work-intensive organization and be able to adapt to changing priorities while delivering with high accuracy
Passion for building a culture of collaboration and team-work
Ability to operate independently and collaborate across wide span of stakeholders includingbankers, senior leaders, risk partners and regulators/ auditors
Control focused mindset and good understanding of regulatory and reputationalrisks
