Assistant Office Administrator - Bridge Inspection

This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a full-time Office Assistant for our Goshen, New York office. The selected candidate will support our Bridge Inspection Team and contribute to a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

A significant portion of this role involves traveling to state offices and to various project sites in the Hudson Valley and Southern Tier regions of NY State to support field staff and project needs. A company vehicle will be provided for all business-related driving.

Your Impact

Travel frequently to state offices and to project sites in the Hudson Valley and Southern Tier regions of NY State to provide on-site administrative and logistical support.

Use a company-provided vehicle for all business-related travel, including delivery of project materials and documents to field staff and other offices.

Provide administrative support to management and staff, including follow-ups, communication, coordination of activities, and general office tasks.

Support on-site field teams with printing, travel coordination, and project logistics.

Assist with office processes including filing, archiving, data management, uploading documents to project websites, and maintaining project-specific file structures.

Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures.

Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

1-2 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in an office assistant role.

High level of professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with colleagues, clients, and other office personnel.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and multiple tasks.

Comfortable driving from two to four hours per day, typically several times per week.

Physically capable of carrying and transporting boxes of documents weighing approximately ten to fifteen pounds each.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Unrestricted driver's license valid in New York and ability to successfully pass WSP's motor vehicle screening.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.

Ability to work schedules that accommodate project-specific requirements, which may extend beyond the typical workweek.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $45,800 - $60,230

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
