Job Title: Plumbing DesignerJob Description

We are seeking a talented Plumbing Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. You will work alongside a team of over ten engineering professionals, receiving guidance and leadership from experienced senior engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in the design process by developing plans, sections, and elevations, as well as redline markups and evaluating shop drawings.

Perform calculations, size equipment and piping, and conduct BIM clash detection and resolution.

Collaborate independently and with team members on design projects, ensuring inter-discipline coordination.

Provide oversight, training, and mentorship to less experienced designers.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in plumbing design and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Strong skills in AutoCAD and Revit.

Experience in mechanical and HVAC design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience performing production work for an engineering consulting firm.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.

Work Environment

Our office provides a professional setting with a relaxed culture, allowing T-shirts on Fridays and polos throughout the week. The team is friendly, focusing on productivity and maintaining a positive work environment. The company values direct communication, mentorship, and career development, encouraging long-term employment. You will have one day of work-from-home flexibility after completing the probationary/training period. Our team consists of 14 employees with plans to expand by adding two more members, fostering a collaborative and open-space environment for production and leadership.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.46/hr.
