Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant school. Associate of Applied Science degree.
Training and experience: Current CPR certification
Job knowledge: Knowledge of general Physical Therapy practice act. Capable of communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Physical Therapy policy and procedures.

Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Provides patient treatments utilizing modalities of exercise, heat, cold, massage, mobilization, hydrotherapy, light therapy, electricity and patient education as established in the plan of care. 2. Document the patient\'s progress for review by other rehabilitation team members. 3. Instructs patients in proper gait techniques, exercises and use of assistive devices and ADL\'s. 4. Responsible for patient\'s personal care, environment and privacy throughout the treatment. 5. Responsible for proper care of orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices. 6. Completes billing procedures when necessary. 7. Assists in maintaining the Rehab Department and keeping the equipment clean/orderly. 8. Participates in hospital in servicing as assigned by the Rehab Director.
