The company is growing rapidly and is significantly expanding production in 2025 to meet customer demand.

Job Description The Machinery Operator (MO) will work within Natrions Production Team in Buffalo, NY. Highly detail-oriented and technically-skilled individuals are sought with experience in operating and troubleshooting equipment used in battery or fuel cell component production, slurry/ink production, and/or film processing. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment while maintaining product quality and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities -Operate production machinery towards the fulfillment of production volumes and process trial experiments. -Establish equipment and precursor tolerances and specifications and communicate with suppliers to troubleshoot product quality issues. -Update operation and maintenance procedures for equipment and instrumentation from time to time as necessary to prioritize user safety, prolong equipment longevity, and minimize downtime. -Perform regular quality checks on product to ensure fulfillment of technical specifications. -Document process parameters, downtime events, and maintenance actions accurately. -Maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow diagrams. -Adopt Lean Six Sigma, statistical process control (SPC), and other methods where applicable to drive process stability and systematic process improvement. -Conduct routine maintenance and assist with preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, reporting any issues to supervisors. -Adhere to supporting a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety regulations. -Support process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. by executing machine runs as process experiments, collecting data, and reporting findings).

Qualifications -Associates degree or higher in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) -2+ years of experience working in battery, fuel cell, chemical, film, or related high-tech manufacturing. (Acceptable related experience: Chemical manufacturing, equipment operator, plant operation) -Hands-on experience with HMI systems and PLC-controlled equipment in a manufacturing environment (PLC experience with brands like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Mitsubishi is a plus). -Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills; prior exposure to roll-to-roll component processing and/or slurry/ink processing is a plus. -Ability to read technical documents and follow precise work instructions. -Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment and wearing PPE. -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work rotating shifts if required. -Certifications in machine operation, workplace safety, Lean Six Sigma, or quality assurance is a plus.
