Job Title: Mechanical and Electrical Assembler $21hr-$25hr

Job Description

Join our dynamic team and contribute to the installation and assembly of critical mechanical and electrical components. Your expertise will ensure that each unit meets our high standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

Install mechanical components such as brackets, suspension and steering components, doors, seating systems, HVAC units, fasteners, and hardware.

Perform torque-controlled fastening using calibrated tools.

Align and fit components to meet dimensional and functional requirements.

Identify and report fitment issues, damaged parts, or drawing discrepancies.

Route, secure, and terminate electrical wiring and cable harnesses.

Install electrical components including switches, lighting, displays, sensors, batteries, and control modules.

Perform crimping, stripping, and connector installation in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards.

Conduct basic electrical continuity and functional checks.

Install fiberglass body panels, roof caps, access doors, insulation, and exterior trim.

Drill, bond, seal, and fasten composite components using adhesives, sealants, and mechanical fasteners.

Perform minor surface prep, trimming, sanding, and finishing as required.

Ensure proper panel alignment, gaps, and cosmetic appearance.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding and understanding of blueprints.

Experience in mechanical assembly and electrical assembly.

Knowledge of fiber glass and body assembly.

Familiarity with automotive manufacturing and assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to install finishing components like seat assemblies, lighting panels, railing systems, and component enclosures.

Experience applying finishing trims, moldings, and sealants.

Ability to clean and prepare units for presentation.

Proficiency with hand and power tools, basic measuring tools, templates, and jigs.

Ability to follow work instructions, drawings, torque specifications, and quality checkpoints.

Experience with in-process inspections and documentation.

Ability to support quality investigations, rework, and corrective actions.

Adherence to 5S principles for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Work Environment

The role involves frequent use of hands and fingers for welding, grinding, and assembly tasks. You must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 40 lbs, with occasional heavier lifting with assistance. The work requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods. Good visual and auditory acuity is necessary. You will be exposed to hot and cold temperatures, moderate to high noise levels, welding fumes, dust, and airborne particles. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including welding helmets, gloves, and protective clothing. Safety procedures must be strictly followed to prevent exposure to sparks, molten metal, and moving machinery.

This is a Contract position based out of Riverside, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
