Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Job Description

Responsibilities

Ensure the press is clean and properly set up before starting each batch.

Label drums filled with tablets accurately.

Check tablet weights, hardness, and size, and adjust machines as necessary to maintain adherence to instructions and batch documents.

Clean and lubricate presses, and install punches and dies in presses.

Maintain sanitation practices and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Conduct friability tests on all products.

Follow all safety and lockout/tagout standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Accomplish all other tasks as assigned.

Support other departments as needed.

Essential Skills

Knowledge and experience with GMP.

Experience in machine operating and compounding.

Good documentation skills, especially in real-time quality assurance.

Ability to work at a fast pace and in a detailed-oriented manner.

Experience in a well-rounded manufacturing environment, especially in compression and wet granulation processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or medical device environment regulated by the FDA.

Proficiency in using instruments like hardness testers and thickness gauges.

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to be proactive.

Work Environment

Work in a pharma-style environment focused on making pills and other natural supplements. The job involves heavy lifting and manual tasks, with frequent checks for quality and uniformity. Cleaning between processes is performed with non-toxic solutions, and all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. The role requires adherence to metrics and standard operating procedures

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
