Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for Warehouse Associate opportunities in Pelham, AL .

This is an excellent Temp to Hire opportunity to join a company that supports distribution and warehouse operations through efficient receiving, storage, and shipping processes.

What's in this Warehouse Associate position for you?

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Overtime: Occasional OT as needed

Assignment Type: Temp to Hire

Pay Schedule: Weekly paycheck

Responsibilities for a Warehouse Associate include but are not limited to:

Warehouse Operations & Shipping/Receiving:

Receive, unload, inspect, and put away incoming goods and merchandise.

Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders using paper or electronic pick sheets.

Load trucks for customer deliveries, securing freight to prevent shifting or damage.

Consolidate freight and verify shipping methods and routes.

Manually wrap pallets and move products throughout the warehouse.

Accurately sort, label, store, and organize inventory to optimize warehouse space.

Weigh, count, and verify products to ensure accuracy and quality standards.

Assist with inventory maintenance and cycle counts.

Documentation & Systems:

Enter and maintain accurate inventory data in ERP systems.

Compile tickets, worksheets, and shipping documentation.

Document discrepancies and communicate issues to management.

Equipment, Safety & Compliance:

Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and cherry pickers (certification may be required).

Follow all warehouse safety policies and procedures at all times.

Use required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes.

Workplace Conditions:

Warehouse environment.

Physically active role involving standing, walking, bending, lifting, and manual labor.

Job is straightforward but physically demanding.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally unassisted).

Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.

Ability to manually wrap pallets and handle physical inventory.

Good vision, depth perception, and hand-eye coordination.

Candidate Requirements:

1+ year of warehouse or related experience preferred.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Forklift or cherry picker experience helpful but not required.

Basic computer skills preferred (printing tickets, internal systems).

Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, and instructions in English.

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Pay Details: $17.00 per hour
