As a Security Officer in South Portland, ME , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail distribution locations to help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and team members, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly to support a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Mon11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Wed12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

Thur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Sat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.

Observe and report any irregularities such as property damage, theft, or any unusual occurrences within the location.

Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents and daily activities.

Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and helping to direct visitors as needed.

Maintain accurate and detailed records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.

Support emergency response efforts by following established protocols and assisting law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer service experience is preferred.

Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
