We are seeking a passionate, purposeful and customer centric leader to join our team as a Manufacturing Process Engineer. Job Description: - Support development and implementation of Crankshafts and Gears manufacturing systems for new powertrain programs in southeast Michigan and Ohio. - Utilize machining process knowledge, particularly steel and iron metal cutting and grinding to deliver an efficient and optimized process regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint. - Lead equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the powertrain plants. - Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders. - Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues. - Interface and coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging. - Support discrete event simulation for constraint analysis; work with Industrial Engineers (IE) to assess and improve throughput. - Travel up to 100% to SE Michigan and Ohio Manufacturing Plants during equipment installation and launch.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering - 2+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience - Working knowledge of GD&T; reading engineering drawings - Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team - Strong organization skills with the ability to handle complex projects with multiple objectives - Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma - Proven record of customer focused work

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
