Position Overview:
As part of the talented Operations team, you will be actively engaged in daily manufacturing and distribution operations. Individual has responsibility for daily coordination of production activities. Supervises and assigns work to operators and ensures productivity, quality and efficiency. Successful candidates are team oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. The position will report within the Lowell, MI facility .

Essential Functions:
Assist and coordinate activities to assist department supervisors to meet/exceed metrics for the department. (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
Delegate and direct employees while emulating our corporate values.
Schedule and assign work to operators to complete workload in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment by directing and promoting and exemplifying safety and security awareness.
Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries and participate in any investigations as required.
Engage team and assist others in continuous improvement activities that support the metrics for the department.
Maintain strong employee relations through various proactive formal and informal departmental communication strategies.
Lead pre-shift meetings when needed, to include but not limited to, stretches, announcements and daily job assignments.
Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues in cooperation with Quality, Scheduling, Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering
Consistently apply company policies and procedures.
Ensure onboarding is being completed for all new employees and contract employees.
Input timecards into Copics
Seek out and learn all aspects of the departments you are working in to understand tools and procedures.
Build strong relationships with supporting departments such as Safety, Quality and Engineering.
Actively participate in shift handoffs with communication about events.
Backfill department Supervisor as needed.

Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
1-3 years of general work experience
1-3 experience in manufacturing/distribution
Experience supervising/managing operations
Experience with MS Office Suite
Demonstrated problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a wide range of employees to meet departmental goals.
The ability to handle multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma and 5S experience
Knowledge and experience with Copics
Working Conditions:
Standard shift operates Monday-Thursday, 2:00PM - 12:30 AM
Occasional to frequent daily/weekend overtime based on seasonal and business needs
Ability to be on feet for 10+ hours of each shift in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch frequently
Must follow proper lifting techniques while keeping safety at the forefront of all tasks
Must be able to manage stress due to tight deadlines and scheduling appointments
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to multitask and shift priorities frequently
The anticipated pay range for this position is $42,500-$63,600 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate's qualifications and the business @context.
