The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Family Well-Being and Protection, Child Protective Services is seeking an Admin Support Assistant 2 to join our team!
This position provides administrative oversight and high-level clerical work related to Northern Iowa Service Area.
Work duties involve:
Manage Supplies
Manage Physical Space
Point of Contact
Local Area Expense Budget
Manage Shelter Billings
Customer Service
Provide back up to the lead Administrative Support Staff.
The following experience/skills are preferred:
Critical thinking skills and plan development
Customer service including de-escalation of conflictual or adversarial situations
Excellent oral and written communication and report composition
Teamwork, collaboration, and consultation
Ability to multi-task
Ability to manage multiple deadlines

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
One year of full-time work experience in general office, clerical, data entry/processing, or related work.
A total of one year of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in any field equals one year of full-time experience.
Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes six months of full-time work as an Administrative Support Assistant 1.

Additional Qualification Requirements
