Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Admin & Accounting Assistant to support administrative and financial operations for our client in Portland, Oregon. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to contribute to essential office functions while collaborating with various team members. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Maintain and update employee records as changes occur.

Sort and distribute incoming mail to appropriate departments.

Record daily check transactions in the cash sheet and prepare checks as required.

Process and organize accounts payable invoices, ensuring they are properly dated and filed.

Review labor reports for accuracy and make necessary corrections.

Operate postage machines to prepare outgoing mail for delivery.

Provide administrative support to team members as needed.

Manage office supply inventory and place orders when required.

Address issues related to vending machines, including communicating with drivers and issuing refunds.

Sell postage stamps upon request and assist with general clerical tasks. Requirements - Proficiency in using timekeeping systems and ensuring accurate data entry.

Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and external contacts.

Previous experience in administrative or accounting roles is preferred.

Familiarity with mail processing equipment and procedures.

Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
