Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a creative and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to develop efficient and cost-effective custom solutions for various applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design and engineering, with expertise in using Solidworks for 3D system design.

Responsibilities

Conduct occasional on-site customer visits for pre-design information gathering.

Design 3D systems using Solidworks.

Communicate with customers to determine system parameters.

Lead internal and external design review meetings.

Generate part and assembly drawings.

Create Bills of Materials (BOM).

Troubleshoot and develop solutions for issues during machine testing.

Assist occasionally with in-house machine assembly.

Support occasional on-site installation and commissioning.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in machine design.

Expertise in Solidworks.

Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.

Experience in mechanical design.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.

3-5 years of experience in machine design.

Ability to design custom machinery using 3D CAD.

Familiarity with machining and fabrication methods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $53.00/hr.
