Description

We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a manufacturing company based in Martinsville, Virginia. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee financial operations, provide insightful analysis, and contribute to the company's long-term success. The CFO will collaborate closely with the executive team and play a vital role in shaping financial strategies and processes.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process.

Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports to provide actionable insights.

Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals and growth.

Partner with the IT department to enhance reporting systems and streamline financial operations.

Establish and monitor plant reporting processes to improve operational transparency.

Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts while ensuring alignment with company objectives.

Manage relationships with bankers, auditors, and third-party service providers to maintain financial stability.

Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making and optimize cash flow.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives within financial reporting and processes.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial leadership roles.

Expertise in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and analysis.

Proficiency in preparing financial statements and managing budgets and forecasts.

Strong knowledge of cash flow management and strategic financial planning.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with financial systems and tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Previous experience in manufacturing or similar industries is preferred.
