The Electro Optics (EO) Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Engineering support to develop Systems solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio.
The EO Department is searching for a Sr. Principal EO Integrated Product Team Lead with experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams, defining interfaces in multiple domains (Hardware and Software), materializing designs, and integrating those designs into a system of systems. The Lead will support the HW and Program Leadership teams to provide both technical guidance and supervision to meet the project's cost/schedule/technical commitments to the customer. The Lead and team will also manage suppliers and may lead efforts in proposal development.
What You Will Do:
Lead a multi-discipline team of engineers to design, develop, integrate, and test hardware within the Advanced Technologies area
Be responsible for the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Cost Account Management (CAM), and EAC reporting for several accounts, including material accounts
Assignments may include the following: guiding a team through several phases of hardware systems lifecycles such as architecture development, design and analysis, requirement and test plan development, and integration and test activities
Manage the EO team's risks and opportunities
Support failure investigations and hardware anomalies as needed
Communicate progress and help needed to program leadership, functional leadership, and government customers
Collaborate with Functional and Program management
Collaborate with Customer and Suppliers
The work environment is primarily in an office, but may include labs, field work, or a combination
Assignments may require some travel
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a Bachelor's Segree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of Ten (10) years of prior relevant experience in EO product and subassembly design, integration, and production support & Earned Value Management (EVM) and Cost Account Management (CAM)
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience leading a team and balancing the team workload and negotiating scope/cost/schedule between the team and the program when an imbalance occurs
Advanced degrees in engineering, mathematics, physics, or related engineering degree
Ten (10) years of professional experience in hardware design, development, and or test of defense-related components or systems
Ten (10) years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
2+ Years of experience as a CAM
Proposal Experience including writing Basis of Estimates (BOE's) and providing material estimating inputs
Experience managing suppliers
Experience networking / influencing outside of the Department with other design and production support organizations, program leadership, other engineering disciplines and Manufacturing organizations
Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with team members, peers, suppliers, management, and customers
Proven experience in balancing engineering process discipline and innovation for rapid development and program success
Experience working with missiles or similar systems
Ability to effectively work multiple tasks and priorities
Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
