SANITATION SUPERVISOR

Overview/ Summary

This position will be responsible for overseeing the Sanitation Department. Which consists of cleaning and sanitizing the plant to maintain conformance to USDA standards within a schedule to ensure maximum operating time.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RERSPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees daily operations of the sanitation department .

Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production.

Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained.

Work closely with production supervisors and management.

Supervises, train and develop sanitation team members.

Develop and follow sanitation procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), USDA and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.

Set up, stock and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies

Comply with, understand and enforces all company policies and standards.

Enforce and follow all Food Safety and Plant Safety policies, practices and protocols.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous Sanitation experience is required

Prior experience in food manufacturing plant or similar; meat experience strongly preferred

Current or previous management or supervisor experience.

Extensive knowledge and technical skill in sanitation and meat processing jobs and chemicals

Managerial skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player with leadership skills

Experience in leading groups of manufacturing employees, including setting team and individual objectives, managing individual and team performance and building a team approach to problem solving.

Outstanding communication skills in order to lead engage and motivate individuals and/or teams.

A thorough understanding of manufacturing principles and leadership applications within a manufacturing environment.

Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Detail oriented and strong analytical skills

Highly organized

Spanish/English bilingual desired but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time

Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise

Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Safely handling and being exposed to chemicals.

May be exposed to stressful situations and schedule changes.

Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50# unassisted

As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary, and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits :

Benefits : Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

Paid Time Off : sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company-vesting schedule;

Base annual salary range: $63,000 - $68,000

Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's quarterly bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
