Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our team in Hartford, Wisconsin. In this role, you will handle tax preparation for individuals and small businesses, ensuring compliance with current regulations while delivering exceptional client service. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to clients' financial success through accurate and efficient tax solutions.

Responsibilities:

Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, small businesses, partnerships, and S corporations.

Organize and analyze clients' financial records to ensure all relevant information is included in tax filings.

Identify opportunities for tax savings by leveraging deductions, credits, and other strategies.

Stay updated on current tax laws and apply them effectively to ensure compliance.

Communicate with clients to resolve queries and provide clear explanations of tax-related matters.

Assist with tax planning services and offer year-round support to clients.

Maintain thorough documentation and organized client files for future reference and audits. Requirements - A minimum of one year of experience in preparing individual and business tax returns.

Proficiency in tax preparation software such as Lacerte Tax Software or UltraTax CS.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines during busy tax seasons.

Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.

Certification as a CPA, EA, or progress toward certification is a plus but not mandatory.
